JOSEPJINE "JO" TERESA (BORDEN) ELLISON

Josephine “Jo” Borden Ellison, age 73, of Athens, died Friday, June 14, 2019, at NHC of Athens.

She was born in Ten Mile to the late William Riley Borden and Tressie Allman Borden. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Price, two infant children, Jackie Thomas Price and Dorothy Irene Price, along with a sister, Brenda Borden Price, 2 brothers, Millard Borden and William “Nub” Borden and his wife, Margie.

Jo was a lifetime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she formerly served as treasurer for 12 years. She was also a member of the local VFW Post # 5146. Jo retired from Textron Industries after more than 15 years of service.

Easton Walls and Ezra Walls

Two brothers and sisters-in-law,

Charlie Borden and wife, Patty of New Carlisle, OH

Paul Borden and wife, Joyce of Ten Mile

Several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Clowers officiating. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Ziegler Funeral.
