At Sweetwater Nursing Center

A native of Sneedville and resident of Marion, Indiana for 55 years before moving to Maryville in 2011. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Nora Markum Sutton and was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyal Hicks; brothers and sisters, Nan Sutton, Joe Sutton, Bernice Mathis, Hence Sutton, George Sutton, Lizzie Kinser, and Hugh Sutton. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law,

   Joyce and Jerry Troyer of Maryville

One son and daughter-in-law,

   Jerry and Karen Hicks of Greenville, NC.

One sister, Deanie Sutton of Marion, Indiana

Graveside services will be 3:30 pm Friday in Short Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating.

The family will receive friends 1:30-2:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Pat Summit Foundation 520 W. Summit Dr. SW #1101 Knoxville, TN. 37902.
