OSCAR DEAN BROWN

Oscar Dean Brown, Age 76, Of Riceville, went to his eternal home on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Erlanger Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Tobe and Marie Brown.  Dean was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Lester, Ed, Paul and Jim Brown, 4 sisters; Betty Ghorley, Emma Lee Breeden, Mildred Decker and Louise Brown. Dean had retired from the Heil Corporation after 25 years, and attended Faith Baptist Tabernacle.

Dean is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Perry Brown of Riceville;

A Daughter and Son in law; Tammy and Tim Norwood of Riceville.

A Son and Daughter in law; Dennie and Geri Brown of Athens.

One sister; Shirley (Pat) Davis of Riceville.

Two Sisters in Law; Rose Brown of Athens and Shirley Brown of Riceville.

Grandchildren; Sarah and Casey Smith of Limestone, TN; Heather Brown and friend Shanna-Shi-Ann Ward of Athens, and Hannah Brown and friend Avery Gallaher of Athens; Rachel Caldwell and friend Nashaun Smith of Athens and Matthew and Kimberly Norwood of Riceville.

Four special great-grandsons, whom he loved dearly, Caden and Colby Smith, Trevor Caldwell and A.J. Gallaher.

Two precious great-granddaughters; Kambrie Norwood and Sadey L. Smith.

A celebration to honor the life of this Husband, Dad, Papaw, Paw, and friend to many will be 7 pm Tuesday in the Chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Garry King Officiating.  Graveside Services will be 11 am Wednesday in McMinn Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Casey Smith, Nashaun Smith, Travis Caldwell, Ed Womack, Jimmy Crisp, and Avery Gallaher.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
