RONALD "RONNIE" STEVEN WATKINS

Ronald “Ronnie” Steven Watkins,age 60, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Hospice of Chattanooga

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Johnny William and Edna Ida Vaughn Watkins and was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Eugene Watkins; sister-in-law, Susan Watkins. He was a former employee of Athens Furniture Company for 25 years and later at Gemtron for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years,

Special nephew, Marcus and Martha Miller and other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga and the nurses of Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens for all their special care shown to the family and Ronnie.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Hoyt Melton officiating.  Burial will follow in Rogers Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
