Passed away Monday, July 29, 2019

At his residence.

He was a native of Brooklyn, NY. and had lived in New Jersey and was a longtime resident of Athens. Tom was the son of the late Eugene James Moran and Kathryn Adele Brown Moran and was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Dolores Smith; special aunts, Sister Ann Brown and Sister Margaret Eugene Brown of the Order of St. Joseph in Brentwood, NY. Tom was retired from TVA as a contract manager, and also worked as a contract manager for Stone & Webster for many years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years,

   Joan Florence McMahon Moran of Athens

Three sons,

   Thomas Bradley Moran

   John Fitzgerald Moran and his wife, Michelle

   Christopher Eugene Moran

Brother and sister-in-law,

   Owen and Joan Moran

Five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 10 am Saturday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Drew Bunting officiating. A reception will follow the memorial service in the church social hall. The committal service will be held in the church memorial garden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Grace House, 123 S. Jackson St. Athens, TN. 37303.
