At Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens

A native of Ringgold, GA. and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Henry Jones and Helen Louise Tilley Jones and was preceded in death by his wife, Carla Elizabeth Coker Jones; mother-in-law, Carolyn Coker; father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Coker. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law,

   Allison and Eric Gibson of Sweetwater

   Amber and Clay Moore of Athens

One son,

   Corey Jones of Athens

Grandchildren: Lynzie Gibson, Kyla Moore and Kati

 Moore

One sister and brother-in-law,

   Sheila and David Hampton of Athens

One brother and sister-in-law,

   Vincent and Judy Jones of Athens

Sisters-in-law,

   Connie Wyatt of Athens

   Cathy Brown of Athens

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Thursday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Watson officiating. Burial will be 11 am Friday in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
