Carolyn Jeanette (Wood) Martin

Carolyn Jeanette Wood Martin, “Nana”, age 58, lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

She is preceded by her parents: Milburn and Velma Fritts Wood, and brothers: Franklin Wood, Roy “Eddie” Wood, Robert Wood, Wayne Wood, Larry Wood, Don Wood, and Timmy Wood.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Cassie Givens (Steve), grandson: Tyler Givens, sisters: Joan Robison (James), Janice Robison (Michael), Rhonda Savage, and Judy Smith (Mike), along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Clearwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Athens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
