Darin Eugene Sykes

Darin Eugene Sykes, age 64, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He had worked in construction for many years.

He is preceded by his maternal grandparents: Harold and Lucille Cook Stewart, paternal grandparents: Tullie Duncan and John Thomas Sykes, along with several aunts and uncles.

Darin is survived by his parents: Robert and Claudine Stewart Sykes of Athens, son: Tyler Sykes (Jaimee) of Ft. Myers, FL, sisters: Denise Sykes Buckner (Greg) of Ten Mile, Rae Ayn Aldridge (Keith) of Athens, nephew: Chet Wolfenden (Christy), niece: Megayn Wolfenden, great nephew: Elliott Wolfenden, uncles: Howard Sykes and Gerald Sykes, and aunt: Freida Heinz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM at the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church in Athens.
