David Ray Armstrong

David Ray Armstrong, age 66, born in San Antonio, Texas, and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. He served in the United States Navy for eleven years.

He is preceded by his parents: Joseph Hayward Armstrong and Doris Eileen Sanders, and a brother: Doug Armstrong.

David is survived by his daughters: Stephanie Pressley of Decatur and Laura Angell (Lisa) of Athens, grandchildren: Steven Carter (Heaven), Dylan Carter, and Sarah Lankford (Austin), great-grandchildren: Jonah and Sadie Lankford, and a cousin: Breena Gilbert.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM CST at Morton Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Walnut Grove, AL on Friday, April 12, 2024, with Brother Jerry Stephens officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
