GALYON EARL STAFFORD

Galyon Earl Stafford, age 67, of Athens, died Monday night, April 22, 2019, at Starr Regional of Athens.

Earl was born in Dyersburg and was a longtime resident of McMinn county. He was son of the late Joe Earl Stafford and Mary Jo McMinn Stafford and was preceded in death by his wife, Millie Edna Owens Stafford and a sister, Linda Stafford Ballew.

He was formerly associated with Shoney’s of Athens for over 20 years and was retired from Carmack Movie Theater in Cleveland. Earl was of the Muslim Religion.

Survivors include two daughters,

Elizabeth Danielle Reese and Kim  Sharp

Four grandchildren,

Rosea Perez, Jaime Sharp, Jada Sharp and John Stafford

Four sisters and two brothers-in-law,

Dema “Dee” Tucker, Patsy and Billy Huckabey, Jewel Cline, and Jo Ann and James Morgan

One brother,

Finley Stafford

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at 1:30 pm in Sullins Cemetery.
