Geneva Ann (Howard) Priest

Geneva Ann Howard Priest, age 91, of Decatur passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her residence.

Geneva was a native of Athens and longtime resident of McMinn and Meigs Counties.  She was a daughter of the late Hardin and Ruth Byrum Howard.  She was also preceded by her husband Johnny L. Priest, daughters Virginia Bowers and Francis Meinheit, and several brothers and sisters.

Geneva was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by

Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren;

Sisters Mary Hyde of Athens and Katheryn McNabb of Cleveland;

Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday January 13, 2023, at McMinn Memory Gardens with Lay Speaker Glen Standridge officiating. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Friday prior to the service.
