James “Roho” Lamb, age 68, of Athens, passed away Saturday June 8, 2019, at Starr Regional of Athens.
A longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Martin and Dorothy Marie Patterson Lamb and was preceded in death by his brother; Tommy “White Bean“ Lamb. He had retired from Mayfield’s Dairy after 20 years, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years; Dianne Martin Lamb of Athens;
Daughter; Alicia Webb of Athens; a son; Ronnie Grady of Athens.
Five Grandchildren; Dakota Webb, Lydia Grady, Blaze Webb, Noah Grady and Emma Grady.
Ten Sisters; Patsy Gennoe (Charlie) of Cleveland, Ada Robinson (David) of Athens,
Margaret Flatt (Bill) of Athens, Francis Lewis (Jessie) of Athens, Sue Peeler (Oliver) of Cleveland, Bobbie Wallace (Jimmy) of Athens, Sandy Ware (Pokey) of Decatur,
Judy Waddle (Don) of Madisonville, Alice Karrmann (John) of Decatur,
and Barbara Creaseman (Jimmy) of Athens.
A Brother; Johnny Lamb of Athens.
Sister’s in law and Brother’s in law; Margaret Lamb, Cindy and Robert Jennings,
Billie McNelley, Evelyn Winder, Dorothy Hyde, Laura and Charles Hale,
Teresa and Bobby Stokes, Mary and Tony Atchley, Priscilla and Andy Watkins,
Harold and Tamera Martin, and Darrell Wayne and Jenny Martin.
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. R.T. Smith and Rev Jerry Stephens officiating. Burial will 11 AM Thursday in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Webb, Steven Witvoet, Robert Speanburg, Tony Lamb, Greg Hicks, and Greg Branham.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
