Jerry Edward Morgan

Jerry Edward Morgan, 71, of Athens passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his residence.

Jerry was a native of Athens and lifelong resident of McMinn County.  He was a son of the late Johnny Monroe and Ruth Irene Fritts Morgan.  He was also preceded by sisters Betty Jane Morgan, Martha Gene Gunter and Brenda Morgan Farrell, and sister-in-law Dorothy Ann Morgan.  

Jerry retired from Athens Table and Bed Company after 35 years.

Jerry is survived by

Daughters Joyce Ann Morgan of Athens and Betty Sue Morgan of Athens;

Sister Dorothy Faye Brown of Etowah;

Brothers Billy Morgan of Sweetwater, Larry Morgan of Athens, and Lynn Morgan of Athens;

Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday November 10, 2022, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Lay Speaker Glen Standridge officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 2 PM Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
