Craig Huckabey, 59, of Athens, TN passed away March 15, 2023 in the comfort of his home. The world lost a bit of its sunshine and humor when Craig departed. With a personality that filled the room, Craig had a way of making everyone he met an enduring friend.
Craig was the beloved husband to Laurie for 25 years and an attentive father to Bryson (Grace) Huckabey. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Laura Huckabey.
Craig was employed with Mayfield’s Dairy Plant for close to 40 years. He was a graduate of McMinn County High School and the Nashville Auto Diesel College. He was a gifted mechanic with a talent for fixing anything that broke on the farm. Craig loved the outdoors and was always delighted to take a long ride with a friend down a winding country road. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical, but the hobby that Craig enjoyed most was talking. He could talk to anyone, anywhere, at any time and he always left them feeling like they were someone special.
He is survived by his siblings
Randy (Lynn) Huckabey of Marietta, GA
Linda (Tom) Stinson of LaVergne
Jeffrey Zane Huckabey (Stephanie Tam) of Laurel, Maryland
Becca (Barry) Pritchett of Ellijay, GA
Kimberly (John) Hart of Pikeville, TN
Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
