At her residence.

A native of Athens and former resident of Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Jene R. Plemons and was preceded in death by her twin sister, Lisa Janel Plemons Newman; maternal grandparents, John L. and Lillie Salisbury Russell; paternal grandparents, Gus and Ethel Harris Plemons.

Survivors include her mother,

   Marion Russell Plemons of Athens

One son,

   Jacob Russell Plemons of Athens

Two brothers and sisters-in-law,

   Rocky and Tammy Plemons of New Orleans, LA.

   Mark and Carol Plemons of Etowah

One sister and brother-in-law,

   Melody Plemons Richt and husband, Dr. Jerry Richt of Cleveland

Nephews and nieces, Tyler Newman, Jason Plemons, Ryan, Meghan, and Chelsey Richt.

Memorial services will be 7 pm Thursday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Laura’s name to The McMinn Regional Humane Society, 219 Alford St. Athens, TN. 37303.
