LEONILA (BERNAL) TORRES

Leonila Torres, age 79, of Athens TN, passed away on February 15, 2020,

At Tennova Healthcare.

A native of Michoacan, Mexico, she had lived many years in Chicago and most recently in McMinn County.  Leonila was the daughter of the late Jose Maria and Carmen Boyzo Leon Bernal, and was preceded in death by

grandson’s; Ernesto Medina and Alejandro C. Gonzalez.

She was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years; Emilio Torres

Daughters; Maribel Carrasco, Martha Medina, Alicia Mora, Maria C. Torres,

Laura Torres, and Araceli Torres.

Sons; Emilio Torres, Javier Torres, Sergio Torres, Oscar Torres,

and Anthony M. Torres.

Sixty-eight grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Wednesday at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Athens with the Rev. Dr. John Arthur Orr officiating.  Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Family will serve as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
