Passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020

At his residence.

Richard was a native of High Point, NC.  and longtime resident of Orlando, FL. before moving to Riceville in 1979.  He was the son of the late Paul Franklin Myers and Juanita Bundy Myers and was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Whitley Myers; brothers, Paul Bundy Myers and Willie Myers.  Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a former employee of the United States Post Office in Orlando, FL. He was a member of Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law,

   D. Michele Myers Pegg and husband, Larry of Greer, SC.

One son,

    Richard “Ricky” F. Myers of Riceville

Two grandchildren: Jessica Kelly Howard and Samantha N. Pegg.

Two great grandchildren: William Hunter Howard and Adeline Cheyanne Ruth

One sister,

   Peggy Barnes Wilkes of High Point, NC.

One brother and sister-in-law,

   Kenneth Lee and Shirley Myers of High Point, NC.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday at Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle with Brother Anthony Wynn officiating.  Burial will follow in Hammonds Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Thursday at Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle.
