Robert Myers Obituary

Robert Keith Myers, age 62, of Athens passed away Tuesday September 21, 2021, at his residence.

Robert was a native of Charlotte, NC.  He lived many years in Georgia and most recently in McMinn County.  He was a son of the late Ralph T. Myers and Doris Ketterer Myers.  He is also proceeded by brothers Dennis Myers, Ted Myers and Donald Myers.

Robert was a Christian and a member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle.  He was a truck driver for many years and most recently was a newspaper carrier for the DPA.  He was a crew chief for the 1983 Harley Davidson West Coast Timing Association and East Coast Timing Association. He was a Sargent of Arms for Abate of Georgia and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.  He also served in the Army National Guard of Georgia.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Nancy Darlene Crawford Myers of Athens;

Sons Robert Anthony Myers of Stone Mountain, GA, David Edward Hernandez Thornton and Whitney Nicole Fisher of Elizabeth City, NC, and Christopher Warren Hernandez Thornton of Athens;

Grandchildren Ella Caroline Hernandez Thornton, Cannon Elin Hernandez Thornton and Brayden Scott Dishaw.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
