My heart is saddened by this news. Brother George was a kind and gentle man who loved going to the temple and enjoyed his friends. He will be missed. I'm sorry.

Wishing David's beautiful family God's peace at this time of their loss.

David is a valued and trusted friend. When he served with me as the Assistant Scout Master, we were able to guide our church youth through valuable learning experiences together, including Charlie, Kenny, and Tommy. With the added blessing of serving as the George family Home Teacher, I came to love and respect April with the same awe as her brothers.

I know David to be a life-long scouter, dedicated to the legacy he engaged in as an Eagle Scout and as a Woodbadger. He saw the value that that inspired movement provided to the young people of our nation, and to our nation itself.

David put everything he knew how to into raising his fine children. He loved them with all his heart and did everything he was capable of for them. He always spoke of them and their accomplishments with the greatest of respect.

Sadly, I never had the privilege of meeting his lovely wife, Claudia. He adores her and I know he is looking forward to Eternity with her.

In spite of numerous obstacles he faced in life, David pressed forward with with eagerness and dedication.

We used to tease each other that "Old scouters never die: They just smell like they are still at camp." Well, Brother David, I look forward to meeting you again at that great Scout Camp that awaits you. You will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we find
God's promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort,
I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)

Dear April,
Please know we love you and you're in our thoughts and prayers. Lean on the understanding and comfort of the Savior; while it won't take the pain away, it makes it easier to bear. Love you.
