Passed away Monday, August 21, 2017

At her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Lizzie Rue Coleman and was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Jack; brothers, Edward, Clifford, Elmer and Cecil Coleman; sister, Katherine Marie Torbett; sister-in-law, Kathy Shell; father-in-law, Leon Shell. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church of Riceville.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years,

   Rodney Shell of Riceville

Two daughters and one son-in-law,

   Cathy and Tommy McKeehan of Niota

   Marquitta Jack of Athens

Several grandchildren, great grandchildren

Three brothers and sisters-in-law,

   Melvin and Sharon Coleman of Athens

   Donald and May Coleman of Decatur

   David and Donna Coleman of Riceville

One sister and brother-in-law,

   Brenda and Ray Cooper of Sweetwater

Mother-in-law,

   Marlene Shell of Riceville

Brothers-in-law,

   Jerry Shell of Decatur

   Danny Shell of Riceville

The family would like to say a special thanks to the Staff of Amedisys Hospice.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Garry King officiating. Burial will be 11 am Thursday in Clearwater Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donald Coleman, Melvin Coleman, Jerry Shell, Danny Shell, Ray Cooper, and Richard McCarthy.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
