Marsha Louann (Harris) Thomas

Marsha Louann Harris Thomas, age 63, of Riceville, TN

Passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Erlanger Medical Center.

Well known for her passionate love for horses, Marsha cherished the many thrilling years of horse showing competitively until Multiple Sclerosis affected her ability to continue riding. The strength and grace Marsha displayed at all times will always be admired by her family and friends.

A native of Sweetwater and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. Harris and was preceded in death by a brother

Joey Harris.  She had worked as a book keeper with Pioneer Furniture and later was employed  with Cracker Barrel.

Survivors include

Her husband of 44 years Jack Thomas of Riceville.

Daughters and Spouses;

Melanie (Joe) McKinney and Crystal (Beau) Mitteis

A son, Justin Thomas

Grandchildren; Miranda, Marcus, and Colten

Her mother; Robbie June Allen Harris

A Sister and spouse, Sheree (Gary) Smith

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Saturday in the Lower Spring Creek Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be David Brown, Josh Watson, Steve Farmer, Mick McCracken

The family will receive friends 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
